School Hours
The instructional day runs 8:45am–3:15pm. Students should arrive by 8:30am. The main office is open Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (closed on observed holidays).
Arrival & Dismissal
Grades 1–5 gather on the 18th St NW playground; Preschool and Kindergarten gather on the ECE playground (accessible via Ontario Rd NW). In freezing or rainy weather, students may enter starting at 8:10am and indoor dismissal begins at 3:10pm.
Uniforms
Marie Reed is a uniform school: dark green polo shirt, khaki pants/skirt/shorts/jumper, and a grey cardigan. Please contact the school counselor if your family needs help securing uniform items.

How to Enroll
If you live in-boundary for Marie Reed and your child is enrolling in K-5, complete an application here.

If you are applying for PK3 or PK4 (regardless of boundary), or for K-5 from out of boundary, and don’t currently attend Marie Reed, you will need to participate in the lottery through My School DC.
